I joined a group of travellers called "Seniors on the go tours" to take the trip. There were 21 people in the group.
Our tour director planned the bus and other conveniences for us. She provided us with an escort to and from the steamboat and co-ordinated with the company for the trip.
We spent one night in the Opryland Hotel and had breadfast with others on the river-cruise in a hotel area before leaving Nashville. I believe that the steamboat hold about 300 passengers and we had about 250 on our trip.
Our original trip was to travel from New Orleans to Memphis. But, the Mississippi River water level is low and the trip was changed to leave from Clarksville,TN.
In the middle of the trip, I caught a bad cold with sore throat. I went to the boat-nurse and was sick for several days. In fact, after returning home, I am still coughing and not feeling well.
I've placed non-food pictures at the top and food pictures at the bottom.
