I drove from Atl,GA to Tampa,FL. Interstate highway I-75 South is the direct route. It is 490 miles and takes about 7 hours straight driving using Google maps for the time estimate.
Of course, I stopped many times to use the restroom and to take a break from the driving. My first and last stop was at Bucee's near Warner-Robbins, GA for gas and driving-goodies.
About 12 years ago, while camping with a group in Georgia, I met someone who has recently purchased a condo in Tampa. After getting furniture and setting-up, I was invited to come visit and see it.
I was very impressed with the both the condo and the community. There is a large and small activity center. In addition, there are 2 swimming pools. There are many clubs such as one for exercise, another for travel, etc.
My friend said that the community has internet, cable tv, trash pick-up, yard and public-space maintenance and many other conveniences included with the homeowner fees.

We visited the causeway from Clearwater to Clearwater Beach island on a beautiful day after New Year's Day. We just sat and enjoyed the wonderful sunshine with many others. Some had kayaks, small boats, and enjoyed the water. I didn't see anyone swimming.

We visited the St. Petersburg Museum of History one day. A few days later, we returned to the area and visited the Museum of Fine Arts. We walked around the area and took the tram to the end of the pier. The picture of the airport was taken from the pier.

We enjoyed the previous museums, so we found more in the area and visited them also. The small town of Safety Harbor has a museum in their downtown area.

A museum in the area with a lot of visitors, is the Imagine Museum. We were told that it had a travelling exhibit of glass and I thought that it was excellent.

My friends and I also went to a Dinner Theater. It was a local group and the buffet food was good. Pictures of the play are not allowed, so I will post the brochure of the plays this season.
The play that we saw was "Birthday Club". It was the entertaining conversation of 5 women who form a club to celebrate birthdays. They talk about the events in their lives and you can see their life changes occur in a short time.
