2023-03-19 FL,Merritt Island -- Kennedy Space Center Visitors Compley

The drive from the Radisson at Cape Canaveral to the Kennedy Space Center Visitors Complex is about 30 minutes (15 miles).

Since I had driven to Florida for the cruise, I decided to stay an extra day and see the Kennedy Space Center Visitors Complex. I had recently taken a course at PALS (Perimeter Adult Services about the space program and Kennedy challenging the nation to build a rocket that will take people to the moon and back. About 15 years ago, I had visited the complex and taken a bus tour. I knew that there had to be many changes since my first visit and I wanted to see them.

The easiest thing for me to do after the cruise was to stay at the Radisson another night and visit the Space Center the next day. The unfortunate thing is that my phone battery needed charging and I wasn't able to take as many pictures on my visit as I wanted.

I got there early in the morning and stayed almost all day. There wasn't a large crowd of other visitors like there would be in the tourist-season of summer. I didn't ride any of the rides. I rode on the bus to the Apollo building first. Viewed the exhibits and saw a movie. Then I returned to the base complex and saw 2 IMAX movies.

The Assembly Building was on the road to the Apollo Building. Unfortunately, the bus was moving and I tried to take a picture through the window. The picture had a lot of window reflection and did not turn out well. The Assembly Building is HUGE - for more information, please research more about it on the internet.
